INGREDIENTS: Organic Marshmallow Root (althea officinalis)

Marshmallow root has a long history of use in traditional herbalism. It has been enjoyed for centuries in teas, tinctures, and topical applications. Its naturally occurring mucilage gives it a soothing quality, making it a popular ingredient in herbal teas and skincare products. It is commonly used to help moisten sore throats, dry coughs, heartburn, stomach ulcer symptoms, diarrhea, and constipation. It can also be used externally as a calming poultice for wounds and burns.

Marshmallow root can be prepared as a gentle, comforting tea, either on its own or blended with herbs such as  ginger root, licorice root, slippery elm, echinacea purpurea, orange peel, or chamomile. It can also be used to make oils, lotions, and salves, as well as desserts and candies.
